The past is to be respected, and certainly preserved, where buildings are significant examples of well-lived lives; we work with care and sensitivity in historical restoration of this type. We have become experts in the preservation of buildings designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and other architects whose medium is a contemporary expression, because it is a recurrent theme of each era's best understanding of how to live in harmony with our planet’s determinants.

In addition, Wiehle•Carr has fully restored, as well as either proposed or executed, carefully modulated, sensitive additions to structures and landscapes of classic 1950s contemporary residential buildings by John Lautner, Harwell Hamilton Harris, Mario Corbett, Rodney Walker, Rudolph Schindler, Edward Grensbach, and Cliff May.
